If you purchase a package tour through Seatravel, you will away be in safe hands. We are a member of the Travel Guarantee Fund (membership nr. 206), which has been created in order to secure customers and their money if a travel agency goes bankrupt. In addition, when purchasing a package tour, you are secured by the Danish Package Tour Law, which ensures a full refund if a holiday cannot be carried out. So, when you purchase a boating holiday through Seatravel, you are secured by both the Travel Guarantee Fund and the Danish Package Tour Law, which means that you are secured in the best way possible. You can read more about the Travel Guarantee Fund here.
Please note that the Money-Back Guarantee is only valid if you purchase a package tour. In addition to the boat rental itself, you must purchase one of the following services for the holiday to fulfil the requirements of being a package tour:
- A hotel-stay on the way to/from the destination by car.
- Booking of flights or car rental.
- A hotel-stay at the destination due to extra days before/after boating holiday.
- Rental of crew in connection to the boat rental (Please note: This is not valid if the crew is to be paid in cash at the base).
The above-mentioned services MUST be combined with boat rental and can be combined with one another. However, it is important that the services are booked and payed at the same time; only this way it can be defined as package tour. If you, on the other hand, do not wish to purchase a package tour, we can look into which types of flexible booking conditions that exist for your dreamboat.
Your security is important to us here at Seatravel. Our Money-Back Guarantee is, therefore, a security for you to book your package tour without any concerns. We are proud to announce that we have refunded all of our customers no later than 14 days after their holiday, so you can book at holiday with us without worry during these uncertain times.

Hence, we recommend you to follow your local news and governmental advice and restrictions closely as they will be updated frequently. We are eternally grateful for your patience and understanding in this extraordinary time.

COVID-19 and your holiday
The Coronavirus has, without a doubt, affect the travel industry and the travel possibilities for everyone around the world. Even though several countries have opened their boarders for tourists, the situation is everchanging and governments are frequently updating their restrictions and advice. With these new restrictions and advice, there will naturally be a large number of questions. We will do our best to guide you and answer your questions.
What to do if you have purchased a package tour through Seatravel
We are currently looking closely at the situation and follow the governmental restrictions. Additionally, we act on the governmental travel advice regarding the different destinations, which are updated when needed. We also look at the guidance from the Danish Travel Agency Fund and the Danish Package Tour Law in connection to the pandemic. To find more information on what you can do in connection with your package tour, read the points below:
- If the government advise against travelling to your holiday destination when your travel is coming up
If you have purchased a package tour to a destination in which your government suddenly advise against going, you will receive a full refund for the holiday. This is valid regardless whether the government at the destination has opened their boarders at the time of departure. This is also valid if your destination has entry restrictions or quarantine conditions for your nationality at the time of your holiday. If this is the case, you will receive a full refund for your package tour. Here at Seatravel, it is important to us that we make a refund to all our customers as soon as possible after their holiday has been cancelled as a consequence of the pandemic. All customers have, therefore, received a full refund within 14 days after the holiday should have been carried out. You can also receive a voucher with the respective amount, which can be used on a future holiday with Seatravel.
- If your government advise against travelling to your holiday destination at the time of the purchase
You can, without any concern, purchase a holiday to a country that your government advise against travelling to at the time of purchase. The travel restrictions may change, so we won’t know what the situation is like at the time of departure. Furthermore, it is not impossible that a country that is advised against travelling to now, may be open for tourists in a few months. If your government advise against travelling to your destination at the time of departure, you will receive a full refund – even though you purchased the package tour at a time when the destination was advised against travelling to. You will receive the full refund no later than 14 days after your holiday should have been carried out.
- If your package tour cannot be carried out
If your package tour, or a large part of it, cannot be carried out, we have the rights to cancel it. This might happen if the government advise against all non-essential travels to your destination; if the transportation to the holiday cannot be carried out (e.g. cancellation of flights); if arrangements with our partners/suppliers need to be changed; or other factors. In the case of having to cancel your holiday, we will contact you right away, and you will receive a full refund of the amount you have paid.
- Rebooking or voucher?
If your package tour is cancelled as a result of governmental advice in your country or the destination, you can choose to either receive a full refund or receive a voucher. If you would prefer to rebook your package tour to a new date or destination, we will look into the options for you. However, as this requires us to look into the possibilities with our partners and suppliers, we cannot guarantee a rebooking. We will, of course, do our best to help you.
- Cancellation procedures
If you wish to cancel a holiday to a destination in which your government does not advise against travelling to, our regular terms and conditions will apply.
- Terms of payment
Even though this is a strange time for all of us, our payment terms have not changed. The dates for your payment are present in your order. If you miss a payment, it will be considered a violation of the agreement. This means that we have the right to cancel your order, and your deposit will be wasted. If you wish to cancel your holiday, our regular cancellation procedures are the valid ones. If you pay the rest of the amount, the agreement is fulfilled, and you have the right to receive a full refund if your holiday is cancelled due to governmental restrictions and travel advice. Therefore, we advise you to pay the full amount, as this will secure you in the best possible manner.
If there are any changes to your booking, you will be informed as soon as possible!
