Check-in
The boat is ready for takeover between 15:00 - 17:00.

Late arrival
In case of late arrival, the base must be notified.

Check-out
The boat must be in port the night before check-out. The boat must be left and handed in no later than 9:00 on the day of check-out.

Smart cards
We normally sell smart cards to guests upon arrival at Carrick on Shannon. Usually at the time of purchase it is explained what the cards are for and that unused cards can be refunded. However, if the card has already been in use, we recommend keeping the card as we cannot refund it. Also, the cards do not deflate.

Codes for locks and bridges
Concerning the codes needed to unlock the bridges and locks, they are on the front page of the captain's manual in the captain's pocket. But perhaps it was forgotten to be explicitly mentioned during the check in.

Parking at the base
It is possible to purchase parking through Seatravel.

Groceries
The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes walking from the base. It is open from 9pm-9am all days. 

Fishing
Fishing license is required and this can be bought on the base
