Fehmarn is a German island in the Baltic Sea and is known for its scenic surroundings. The island is strategically located and is an ideal starting point for sailing trips along the German coast and to other destinations in the Baltic Sea. Popular cruises include trips to nearby islands such as Poel and Rügen. Grossenbrode harbour Close to Fehmarn, you will find the Grossenbrode marina, which is located northwest of Lake Grossenbrode. Like Heiligenhafen, it is centrally located on the "new" German Baltic Sea coast and is therefore the ideal starting point for trips along the East Holstein coast, to the numerous ports in the Bay of Lübeck, to Mecklenburg's Baltic Sea coast, to Denmark, Rügen, Bornholm or the Little Belt. Grossenbrode harbor has a calm atmosphere, and here you will find water and electricity connections at the bridges, WiFi and waste collection, as well as well-maintained sanitary facilities and sufficient parking spaces. There is a shop in the harbor area with a well-stocked selection for sailors and renters. In the nearby Baltic Sea spa Grossenbrode (2 km) and in Heiligenhafen (6 km) you will find various supermarkets and shops, cafes and restaurants, doctor, pharmacy, ATM, post office and groceries. Sailing Wind conditions are ideal for sailing in the summer months as gale force winds are hardly expected. On trips along the East Holstein coast, the country cover provides protection against high waves, even in stormy westerly winds.
