The boat is ready for handover at 14:30 but can depend on the weekday.
Late arrival
It is possible to arrive later if you have made an agreement with the base personnel.
Check-out
The boat must be back at the base the evening before check-out. The boat must be left and handed over at 09.30 on the day of check-out.

It's recommended that you order taxies in advance, both there and back. The base is a bit isolated so it can take a long time before the taxi arrives if you don't order it in advance. The taxies you can get at the airport are more exepensive than the pre-ordered ones.

Near the base
Wigan and Back
A very comfortable and easy route with many kilometers of sluice-free sailing. As you sail from the base, you will arrive on the Bridgewater Canal, built by the Duke of Bridgewater, to transport coal to Manchester. Here you will See Barton Swing Bridge and in Wigan, the Pier Museum and Trencherfield Mill Steam Engine are definitely worth a visit.
Chester and Back
A little more active route, where you can easily reach around approx. 5 hour sailing a day. This tour includes several exciting channels and varied landscapes - and will include Lead you to Middlewich's old salt mines and the breathtaking medieval town of Chester - and you should also take the time to visit the Boat Museum in Ellesmere Port.
